Job Details:

Eligibility Criteria for  High Court of Karnataka Recruitment 2022:

Education Qualifications:

i) Must be holder of a degree in Law granted by a University established by Law in India

ii) Must be practicing as an Advocate in the High Court or in a Subordinate Court on the last date fixed for receipt of applications and must have so practiced for a period not less than SEVEN years as on such date. Note: Public Prosecutor/Assistant Public Prosecutor/Government Counsel in full time employment of the State having not less than seven years of continuous practice immediately preceding the last date fixed for receipt of online applications are also eligible for appointment.

iii) PROBATION: A candidate selected will be initially on probation for TWO years or for extended period, if necessary and he/she must undergo such training as may be specified by the High Court

Age Limit:

Must not have attained the age of Forty-Eight years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes and Forty-Five years in the case of others, as on the last date fixed for receipt of online applications.

Note: The maximum age limit is relaxed by three years in case of Ex-servicemen candidates.

PLACE OF POSTING:

• The selected candidates shall be posted in the District applied. However, they are liable to be transferred from the office of one Court to the office of other Court, depending on the administrative needs and exigencies at any point of time.
• All the selected candidates of any of the above posts, should also attend to all the duties assigned by their superiors from time to time in a dedicated manner, even during Holidays and odd hours.

Selection Process:

• The selection process for the High Court of Karnataka 2022 will be basis of the

COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION: The Competitive Examination for recruitment of District Judges shall consist of 3 stages namely (a) Preliminary Examination (b) Main Examination and (c) Viva voce:-

Exam Fee:

• Preliminary Examination Fee: The Candidate shall remit an amount of ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only). But, in the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/Category-I, the fee payable shall be ₹250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only).
• Main Examination Fee shall be payable by each candidate who is successful in the Preliminary Examination and eligible to appear for the Main Examination immediately within 15 (Fifteen) days from the date of announcing the result of the Preliminary Examination, failing which, their candidature will not be considered for Main Examination. The candidate shall remit an amount of ₹1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only). But, in the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/Category-I, the fee payable shall be ₹750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred and Fifty only).
• Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
